Zoom H4n Digital Recorder Review
The Zoom H4n portable digital recorder is a flash memory recorder. It has a great build quality and is much easier to use than Zoom’s previous models. Even though you can achieve higher quality recording with more expensive equipment, the H4n’s sound quality is great.
The Zoom H4n has large, simple to manipulate buttons on the front of the unit as a sturdy build quality with a rubber grip. The jog dial on the side of the unit makes it very easy to navigate using the menu button. There is a built in speaker on the back of Zoom H4n. This is useful for when you want to check your recordings or play a clip on the go.
The Zoom H4n has an impressive feature set. You can record straight stereo tracks or use it as a 4 track digital recording studio. The Zoom H4n has the capability to record up to 4 tracks simultaneously using the built in stereo condenser mic for two of the tracks and the XLR inputs for the other two.
The Zoom H4n is an excellent recorder for musicians, radio producers, or podcasters on a budget. The recording quality is great and the unit is feature packed. It is definitely a step up from the previous models.
